For the inaugural exhibition of its new building, The National School of Photography (ENSP) in Arles, France, was pleased to welcome the agnès b. collection. Since 2018, a group of students, including myself, have been curating and selecting over a hundred works to create this exhibition, putting side by side photographs of the collection and works made by the ENSP’s students. How can we show the uniqueness of the agnès b. collection? How can we make visible the various practices of photography developed within the school? These are the questions that were always on our minds while creating “Modernité des passions”
For the occasion, I designed and produced a series of 8 zines. Distributed to visitors in the exhibition space, they were combining the students works and writings with interviews of artists from the agnès b. collection.
Exhibition from the 1st to the 10th of July 2019, at The National School of Photography (ENSP), part of the Rencontres de la Photographie of Arles 2019, France.
